...and he gave to me a gift I know I never can repay
— Dan Fogelberg

Glenda Paxton shines and radiates a warmth that you can feel in her strong, live performances. Her thought-provoking song writing dips into peoples’ hearts and lives with such a sweet compassion! If she had come close to championing another career, it would have been in the field of psychology. She chose, instead, to do what she loves most in creating music for the hearts. Still, she is careful as she reveals the compelling truths within each story she tells.

Having one brother older, and, as the eldest girl in a family of six children, Glenda was the beloved caregiver of four younger siblings. Drama classes propelled her onto stages everywhere and especially those of competitive festivals, mostly capturing the gold wherever she appeared. With classical training in piano from four years of age, she was a natural in her parent’s dance band at eleven. Learning to ‘wing it’ in these incredibly rhythmic surroundings, she became the bands’ music arranger in her teens.

Later, on the stages of Sweden and Denmark, this outrageous rhythmic feel would ignite her concert goers. Unable to resist, they would be on their feet before they knew it, dancing and singing. They believed that she was one of their own with her long, blonde hair tossing and mischievous blue eyes sparkling in the stage lights.

Glenda brings true and unique influences from her background heritages of English, Irish, Scottish and Pennsylvanian Dutch. With eclectic taste in music and dabbling in many genres, her soulful voice is an explosion of pure, unadulterated joy.
